We finally got up to VERY close to 70 degrees today. Adah went outside and had a fun time walking around and getting some sun. She's pretty pale, so she needs it :)
Anyway, it's supposed to drop back down to the 40's on Wednesday and snow some more. @!*%. I need Spring!! At least we have a darn cute kid. And I'm (this is Lanny btw) out of school now for the summer, so that is radical badical!

Moscow
Just a quick post with some exciting news. I was accepted to the MFA Graduate acting program at the University of Idaho just recently, and also got a teaching assistantship which is going to pay for all of my tuition as well as a little extra spending money, so yay! We're pretty excited about it. Not that Idaho isn't basically Utah, but it is still cool since we've never lived out of state. At least not until we move to Bulgaria after I graduate. :)

It's officially Spring Time!
We went and threw some rocks in a little stream nearby, and then she went and walked through all these dead leaves and things, so that was pretty fun.
We also went to visit my brother Andrew this last weekend, and Adah got to see Wells, who she has only seen once since he was out of the hospital, so that was a lot of fun too. Andrew and Sophie babysat Adah while me and Katie went out for the evening. They said that Adah tried to poke Wells in the eyes a few times, and smack him with the remote control, but besides that she was pretty good.
My brother Andrew also lives in the exact same student living complex that my parents did when I was a kid, so that is pretty cool. This is a picture of myself as a baby, as well as my baby Adah on the very same play area (both one year old, but obviously these were taken a few years apart!)

And last but not least, we also recorded a little video of baby Adah with her cousin Wells. So enjoy this as well :)

Adah's New Starring Role
Here is yet another stirring video of our baby. This time, it features Adah in a commanding performance as...Adah...demonstrating remarkable skills such as--you know--walking...and showing off her pretty princess dress...and telling us all what doggies and kitties say.
Also co-starring Lanny Langston as himself.
Cinema has never been this good.

My famous radio spot
So, a funny thing happened today. There is a political radio talk show called "For the People" that myself and Katie listen to quite a bit here in Logan, and I've actually called a few times because I tend to get really riled up about things (politics mainly), and can't help myself. Anyway, on the way home from watching a Jazz game this evening, we were listening to the radio station that plays "For the people" when a radio spot came on advertising the program, and had audio clips of things a couple of callers had said on the air; and I was one of the clips!! :) It was way funny. It was from a call in I had made about Mike Huckabee where I said something to the effect that:
"Mike Huckabee reminds me of a gossip queen who is constantly saying 'well, I don't want to say anything bad about this person, but.....'"
And that is really it. It was just funny to hear myself on the radio.
Next thing you know I'm going to have my own talk show where I make quippy remarks like that for a living! I'd probably have at least as many listeners as readers of our blog :)

The better looking 2/3rd's of our Family
She's getting to be pretty smart, and says quite a few words, and is starting to put them together. Among her individual words she now says are: Mama, Dada, Pop (which is Grandpa Ackermans name), dog, hi, hello, baby, ball (which is sometimes bop), meow, ruff, @!#* (which is the sound she makes whenever shes pooing in her pants, tooting, or if we ask her "what a poo poo says), and her favorite word/phrase, "what's that?" 'What's that' usually means she wants whatever it is she's pointing at, but its still cute. The other day she said "what's that dog" while pointing at the Ackermans dog. And today we were playing ball and she pointed at me holding the ball and said "Dada ball". So that was cute.
Anyway, that's about all of the cute things that have happened lately, we'll try to keep this updated regularly so that our 4 or 5 some odd regular readers aren't disappointed :)
